A new chapter in travel begins — United Airlines connects New York and Split, bringing American travelers closer to Croatia’s stunning Adriatic coast and its world-famous sailing experiences.
Sailing in Croatia now closer than ever. Split Introduces Direct Flights to New York 🇺🇸✈️
Starting April 30, United Airlines will operate three weekly flights from Newark to Split, making it the only U.S. airline connecting Croatia and the United States.
This marks the first time Split will be directly connected to America.
United Airlines announced its summer 2026 flight schedule, which includes new routes from New York to Split, Bari, Glasgow, and Santiago de Compostela, as well as flights from Washington to Reykjavik and Seoul.
“United has an unmatched international network, and we are proud to connect our passengers with unique, on-trend destinations that no other U.S. airline serves,” said Patrick Quayle, United’s Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances.
This new route opens exciting opportunities for American travelers eager to experience Croatia’s world-renowned sailing destinations. With direct access to Split — the gateway to the Dalmatian islands, including Hvar, Brač, Vis, and Korčula — visitors can now enjoy seamless travel to some of the most beautiful yachting and Mediterranean holiday destinations in Europe.
