It is not easy to start a tradition. At the time you don't even know it is going to be a tradition, you just head on hoping for the best and giving your best to succeed. For 21 years now, since 1998, Croatia Boat Show had been organized with passion and vision to become one of the largest and most respectable boat shows in the world. This one succeeded. For long it was one of the top 10 fairs in the world, swarming with people and exhibitors, making Split one of the centres of the yachting industry. Coinciding with the economic crisis in 2009, which caused a lack of sponsors and patrons, Croatia Boat Show declined over the years to the shade of the previous self. Luckily, the organizer and entrepreneur Vincenco Blagaić didn't give up putting this previously important nautical fair back on track. He brought back the glamour, luxury, and importance to Croatia Boat Show and, the most important of all, he brought the exhibitors and people back to Split.

21st Croatia Boat Show (11.-15.04.2019) could be the comeback everyone hoped for. Event held in 2018 was a breath of fresh air after the previous setbacks, but the latest fair has attracted many Croatian and world premieres, along with the yachts such as 42 m long Mangusta and 25m Sunreave. During the fair, more than 300 exhibitors from 25 different countries bringing more than 150 boats presented themselves to the public, making all sorts of deals and business proposals. One of the highlights and „go-to“ places of 2019 Croatia Boat Show where the business was made was definitely a 100m long barge serving as a Yacht club during the fair. It was a focal point of glamour and gastronomical pleasures, its fantastic background being Split's famous promenade and Diocletian's palace. Beat that!

All in all, a strong Croatia Boat Show is what Split and Croatia need and deserve as Croatia leads the numbers in charter yachts and cruises, being a perfect destination for sailing holidays. Getting back on track and returning the previous glory is what Mr Blagaic and his partners behind Croatia Boat Show want, but always looking further up as the main goal is to lead the way with breakthroughs and ideas that will improve not only Croatian nautical and charter industry, but world's as well.
